It's official...

So mommy was thinking that maybe my dislike of French fries was something related to that one particular kind of ff (Red Robin's Steak Fries). Well, the other day, she tried again... this time with the irresistible Chick-fil-A waffle fry. And, yes, folks... I DON'T LIKE THEM!

But tonight I feasted on salmon (not from the grill because there was no working grill at hand -- even though they are brand new), sugar snap peas, broccoli, carrots, and quinoa. So, who needs fries when you can have that!

And, mommy told me she is going to work on getting some photos up. I am getting bigger and will hopefully get her to post some new shots of me soon!

Who knew?

Tonight, mommy put something in front of me that apparently everyone loves. French fries. It's the first time I have had one and I spit it out immediately. Mommy, where are those tomatoes? I prefer them!!!

Old friends. Sat on their park bench like bookends.

I miss you man! I really do! When can you come and visit me? And, mommy and daddy have really been missing your parents and all of our friends and family back east. Please write us. Please call us. We are sad without you!

Time with Gampy and Gammy!

So, I have been having a blast the past week and a half! Gammy and Gampy came to visit. I got to show them all sorts of things... like where we go shopping (Super Walmart - daily), where we go swimming, and how we get life done in the summer heat of AZ. We had a wonderful time! But, bestest of all was the time when me and Gampy would cuddle on the couch before bedtime. Don't we just look like two peas in a pod?

The red rocks of Sedona

Hi everyone! I am sorry we have not written in some time. It's been a little bit hectic the past two weeks. But, we are getting settled and getting used to the heat. It really is not so bad! I mean, it's HOT but the dry heat really does make a difference mommy and daddy say! I mean, from my perspective, it's great because I get to go in the pool every day!
We have also ventured outside of the "valley" up north to Sedona a couple times. This is a picture of Sedona:

 

This is also Sedona... it really is breathtaking and there are LOTS of butterflies and I love watching them

 

Here we are at this cool park called "Slide Rock." The water was a bit chilly, but I can let you know that sticks taste the same in AZ as they did in VA. And, we had a great time with Auntie Kristen! We miss you! And, all of our family and friends back East...

ARIZONA, Here We Come!

Daddy called last night to say he was in our new apartment! He and Pop-pop made great time driving there and as of this morning, our stuff will be there too! Me and mommy are hanging out one more day in DC. I get to play with my best Babysitter, Sarah, and my best little buddy, Patrick today! Then, tomorrow we go on a plane to meet up with Daddy! Heat, sun, scorpions, desert, cactus, get ready! Here comes Joseph!

And so, the adventure begins as Daddy Greto and Pop-pop Greto set off this morning. Me and mommy are staying in DC for the week. I am playing with my great buddy Luca while mommy is working downtown. I also get to hang with my awesome godmother and godfather Ali and Preston in their way cool house in DC. We (me, mommy and Aunt Kristen) will join daddy and pop-pop on Saturday out in AZ!

Exciting times for the Greto 3! Mom said we can't add pictures to this posting because, well, Jose and Eduardo have everything in a truck somewhere between here and AZ!

And Happy 14th of July France!!!!!

Summertime and the livin' is easy... fish are jumping...

and the heat is hot. We are spending time outside as much as possible, despite the warm weather -- especially because this heat is NOTHING compared to where we are moving in AZ! But, we love summer. And one of the best things about summer that I have just learned this week is WATERMELON! Now, I have eaten watermelon before but NOT like this! My mommy is so cool! She let me take apart the watermelon with her outside.


After you take apart the watermelon and then eat tons of it, then you have to wipe off your hands and face. I'm pretty good at this too!

They say it's your birthday...

On Saturday daddy and mommy had a whole bunch of friends over to celebrate my birth and to throw the last party at our home in VA! We all had a great time... thank you so much to everyone who contributed and came to celebrate! We will so terribly miss each and every one of you!!! Tuesday, June 10, 2008. I am ONE YEAR OLD!

I am one today. Here is a picture of what I looked like on the day I was born... I had worked very hard at following the light but I just could not get out. Then, some lady created a new path for me and VOILA! There I was! And I let everyone know how present I was because all 4 of my grandparents heard me hollering down the hall and through two sets of Operating Room doors! Yes, I still have a set of pipes on me too :-)

And, this is the latest picture of me. I like this one a lot because I like playing in the grass. Mommy had really good timing to capture this one before I began to crawl off. That's the UVa Rotunda in the background! I love it there.
Before you see this really cute snapshot of me... here are some of my 1 year old accomplishments! I have two bottom teeth (I've had them since I was 9mos.) and 4 coming in at once across the top! I weigh in at a sturdy 24.5 LBS... and man am I solid. I am walking... not just a little bit but all over the living room, dining room, kitchen, deck, front courtyard... really where ever they will let me. I love climbing the stairs. I love playing with my music table and Daddy's digital piano. I am wearing 18 mos clothing and somethings are even 24 mos... it's my milk belly, I cannot help it. I still have my thunder thighs despite all of the walking. The milk is solely cow's at this point. No time for breastfeeding, mom, I've got places to WALK. I have a passport with actual stamps in it from my travels. I have flown 14 legs (tampa, phoenix, belgium). My best buddies are Patrick and Evelyn who I see weekly at church. I get to play with Luca every now and then... and last weekend I had a blast with friend Will. My girlfriend is Mattie Holland (Ms. Katie, I think mommy is serious about the arranged marriage ;-))
