At 2!

Mommy wanted me to note a few things for you all now that I am TWO!
I love to sing! I sing Happy Birthday, I sing my alphabet, I sing and count (my numbers have their own ordering so don't think you know what number comes next when I count!), I play my guitar with daddy. I like to dance and sing Ring around the Rosie -- pronouncing ASHES with much gusto! Also, I mostly love to sing at Chapel at Preschool. My favorite songs are Oh! How I love Jesus and Jesus Loves Me -- these songs have hand motion, signs and I love to do them too. What else? I love asparagus and can say it! I love broccoli and can say that too! I love to RUN! I make the announcement and then run, run, run. I also have adopted a new habit that mommy and daddy are not so fond of... screaming when told NO. I am not a fan of being told No. I was put in real time out yesterday for the first time... I hope I can stay out of time out. Hummm...

I celebrated a great birthday with all of my friends on Sunday with buddy Sebastian. Then, on Wednesday, my actual birthday Reen, Sui, and Bella came over to play, eat pizza, and eat cupcakes. What fun!

Oh, lastly, I am dare-devil with mad balancing skills. My favorite thing to do with my horsey and my motorcycle is to STAND ON THEM!!! Yep, who needs sitting when you can balance on the back. I haven't fallen yet although mommy and daddy keep telling me to be careful. I also got a soccer ball and a baseball and bat for my birthday. I pretty much all BOY!

Here's a couple pics:

Here is a cute shot of me and Bella reading my new book of things that GO! I love it... so did she:

This time two years ago

Mommy asked if she could borrow my blog to post a couple thoughts. You see, it is my birthday week. Mommy has been particularly tearful when reading my bedtime stories, etc... I think she is just amazed at how much I have grown. But, enough about that, here is my mommy.

As I sit here, quietly reflecting on today... I can't help but remember back to what life was like exactly two years ago. We had this wonderful gift, secretly waiting for his time to arrive. Two years ago, it was a Friday. I had had lunch with Amanda and her new baby Ethan. We went to an Irish place and I had a great reuban sandwich. I think our other friend Mike met up with us. Funny. Then, I walked outside around Pentagon Row in the 100 degree heat. Yes, it was one of the hottest days I can remember ever in DC. Of course, I look back on that now and see how it was preparing me for the desert. But, I walked outside a bit and went to get my passport picture because I had to update it. Hint ladies, don't go get a semi-permanent ID photo that you have to use for the next 10 years the DAY BEFORE YOU go into labor with an over 8LBS child. I digress...

So, I bought another bottle of water and walked to the Eckerd to get my pictures. Then, I think I went to the Post Office and came home. I probably took a nap - as I was known to do in those days - and then I am sure I just day-dreamed about what this little boy was going to be like? I just couldn't wait to meet this little man that I had grown to know and love so much and had never even laid an eye on -- in person. I will leave this note at this point for now. I think me and Mike went to Mexican that night for dinner because I was all about eating spicy foods.

I will write more tomorrow about that Saturday two years ago. The day I met the first real, true, blissful, aching heart love... Joseph Michael Greto.

Oh and just in case you were wondering what a 5'4" Meg looks like about to have this little guy... here you go...

A funny thing happened at 4AM!

Hi folks,

I am sorry that I have not written in awhile. I have been very, very busy! I went to Tampa to visit my gammy and gampy. I got to see my Mom-mom too!!!! I was really sad that I missed my Pop-pop. But my daddy came back from Suisse! He had a nice time but he really missed me a lot and I really REALLY REALLY missed him!!!!

So, back to my story. I woke up this morning and daddy told me something really funny!!! He said that at about 4AM, he and mommy woke up to "really loud music" coming from my bedroom. Daddy came in and my clock radio in my room was BLARING Motley Crue "Smoking in the Boys Room". Daddy said it was really funny because the radio was just at TOP VOLUME and I was SNORING away. Meanwhile, mommy had also awoken to the music and daddy came back to bed concerned about how the radio had come on.

Little do they know that I like to play loud music late at night. Me, Elmo and Doggie had been having a raucous party. I was fake snoring, Daddy-o! Mommy thinks I had been playing with the alarm clock earlier in the day and just turned the volume all the way up too. Hee heee... I am never telling them HOW I did it ;-)

Just in case you aren't familiar with the song:
